I guess I missed the miniature fairy world entry into our creative, living world. It is such a fascinating world of playfulness, imagination, infinite possibilities and beauty, that it inspired me and brought added joy to my Saturday morning. So, I have done a little sneaking and snipping around the megamind and gathered images which inspired me to find an old tub and begin a fairy garden for our little family oasis. Hopefully you will be inspired too. It is good and healthful to let go of ‘the meaningful and serious’ and be playful, dig into your imagination which, if you are like most adults (non-artists), in many ways is lacking in exercise and experiencing playful creation neural challenges. Go ahead build your mini-magical garden world. It is easy. It is fun. Alone or with your children, grandchildren or __?____ , I bet you will be glad you did . What a sweet way to express love of innocence, play and hope.
You can use stuff and plants you have on hand, or salvage from your favorite flea market or neighbors garden (ask permission of course), or buy materials and accessories for your little world. I was amazed at how many really sweet miniature garden accessories there are available on line and reasonably priced IMO. But, as a lifelong reuser of stuff, personally giving new life to ‘trash’ is more challenging and fun, but time consuming, so, it’s your choice. No rules, no right way or wrong way, anything goes in miniature garden land.
Here is a collection of images of miniature gardens, mostly for fairies, I hope they are amusing and encourage you to create a mini magic world to include in your ‘place’…….. I am grateful for all those who shared photos on pinterest, wiki, etc. to inspire others.
Have fun creating your own imaginary world of play and lightness of being!!!!!!!
